Former Ultimate Fighter winner Chad Laprise made a momentous return to the UFC’s welterweight division earlier tonight (Sat., July 8, 2017) at UFC 213 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, when he finished Brian Camozzi via third-round TKO. Despite being the biggest underdog on the card, Camozzi landed some good offense in the fight. He relied on leg kicks mostly, but responded in turn whenever Laprise threw down. However, Laprise’s body punch in Round 3 was too much for Camozzi to handle, as the 26-year-old wilted to the canvas. After some follow-up offense via ground-and-pound, Laprise was able to force the referee to jump in for the third-round TKO stoppage.

With this win, Laprise reenters the 170-pound division with an impressive performance. The 30-year-old is still evolving inside of the Octagon and could very well make a push towards the top 15 entering 2018.
