Jon Jones may have won won the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight title after defeating Daniel Cormier in the third round of their headlining fight at last night’s (Sat., July 29, 2017) UFC 214 pay-per-view (PPV) event, but it was “DC” who walked away with the biggest payday.
According to the payouts obtained by MMA Fighting from the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), Cormier earned a flat rate of $1 million in defeat, while Jones took home $500,000.
Here are some of the other payouts from UFC 214:
Daniel Cormier: $1 million
Jon Jones: $500,000
Tyron Woodley, $500,000
Demian Maia :$110,000
Cris Cyborg: $200,000
Tonya Evinger, $100,000
Robbie Lawler: $300,000 (includes $100,000 win bonus)
Donald Cerrone: $155,000
Volkan Oezdemir: $110,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus)
Jimi Manuwa: $120,000
Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, Reebok sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments. It also does not include deductions for expenses such as insurance, taxes, etc.
