Marlon Vera and Brian Kelleher collided on the UFC Fight Pass “prelims” portion of the UFC on FOX 25 event -- which is going down tonight (Sat., July 22, 2017) from NYCB Live in Uniondale, New York — in featherweight action.
But, it didn’t last long, as Marlon Vera managed to get an impressive win by trapping Brian’s arm in an tight armbar that forced a tap halfway through round one. It seemed for a moment as if Kelleher was going to fight his way out as he slammed “Chito” to the ground.
But, it wasn’t enough to break loose, as it only allowed Vera to get better position and grip to put on the finishing touches. The win is Vera’s third straight while the loss for Kelleher snaps his impressive seven fight win streak, which included winning his Octagon debut last month.
