They say I've got no hands.

With only a month left to prepare for the greatest defensive boxer of all time, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is doing as much sparring as he possible can. McGregor, who is known for his knockout ability inside of the Octagon, will be making his boxing debut opposite undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26 live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In effort to gain some professional insight leading into his massive superfight with “Money,” McGregor has requested the sparring services of former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi. Despite their iffy past, Malignaggi has agreed to step up after retiring earlier this year and mix it up with “Notorious” inside of the boxing ring.

According to a recent Instagram post by McGregor (shown above), the first sparring session has already taken place. Dressed in Gucci shorts, McGregor can be seen boxing Malignaggi will his hands held behind his back. While the UFC superstar is likely to only post the moments of sparring that favored him, it’s interesting to see how confident McGregor is inside of the ring against a seasoned veteran like Malignaggi.

Fight fans should understandably reserve their opinions about the opening sparring session until video footage is released, but McGregor seems to be off to a good start in Sin City.
