UFC 213 free fight video: Watch Amanda Nunes knockout, dethrone Miesha Tate at UFC 200

Before Amanda Nunes defends her title against Valentina Shevchenko at next weekend’s (Sat., July 8, 2017) at the UFC 213 pay-per-view (PPV) event inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, let’s take a trip back down memory lane to see one of her best performances.

In July of 2016, Nunes found herself face to face against then women’s Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, all while headlining UFC 200, the biggest event of the year.

And in less than four minutes, “Lioness” became the the new champion by putting it on “cupcake.” From the onset, the Brazilian bomber used her precise striking to pepper and drop Tate repeatedly. Once on the ground, Nunes went to her bag of tricks and unleashed her jiu-jitsu to sink in a rear-naked choke to secure the win.

Five months later, Amanda solidified her champion status as champion by knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 197 in the very first round (full highlights here). Now, Nunes will look to go two-for-two against Shevchenko after taking “Bullet” out in their first encounter.
