UFC Fight Night 113 ratings pull 402,000 viewers for ‘Nelson vs Ponzinibbio’ on FS1

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Nelson vs Ponzinibbio Per Haljestam-USA TODAY Sports

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was back on television last weekend (Sun., July 16, 2017) with the UFC Fight Night 113 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which featured a welterweight main event between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio, who battled for a spot in the 170-pound title chase.

“Gente Boa” won by thunderous knockout (see it).

The FOX Sports 1 event broadcasting from Glasgow, Scotland, averaged 402,000 viewers, according to MMA Fighting, with the preliminary card — also on FOX Sports 1 — returning 284,000 fans. The post-fight show on FS1 pulled 222,000 looks.

“Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio” peaked at 496,000.

By comparison, the last Sunday afternoon show on FS1 was UFC Fight Night 109, peaking at 665,000 for “Gustafsson vs. Teixeira,” which benefitted from a stronger line up, at least in terms of star power.

Next up is UFC on FOX 25, headlined by Chris Weidman vs. Kelvin Gastelum, taking place this Saturday night in Long Island. For much more on that upcoming fight card click here.
