What’s Hot:

Santiago Ponzinibbio will look to make a name for himself when he takes on Gunnar Nelson, one of the most highly-touted grapplers in the sport, and add to his four-fight win streak. Nelson, meanwhile, will look to earn his third straight victory.

What’s Not:

Like most of these overseas fight cards on Sunday — no less — there is little to peak ones interest. In fact, I a more interested in seeing if Calvillo can keep it going against Calderwood. The main event, it really doesn’t do a whole lot for me.

Original Card vs. Actual Card:

Mark Godbeer was expected to face Justin Willis before he pulled out of the fight with an injury. Lina Lansberg was expected to face Leslie Smith before she pulled out for undisclosed reasons. Mitch Gagnon was expected to face Brett Johns but was ultimately replaces for Albert Morales.

Injuries:

Mark Good beer was the only one who had a legit injury to take him out of the event.

New Blood:

Justin Willis will be making the jump from WSOF to the UFC for the first time against newcomer James Mulheron. Galore Bofando, Danny Henry and Amanda Lemos will also look to shine in their Octagon debuts.

How The “Prelims” Look:

Most of the FOX Sports 1 “Prelim” bouts feature fighters who are still trying to climb out of the shadows in order to make names for themselves, so you can’t blame me -- or anyone else -- for not jumping up and down in elation.

Who Needs A Win Badly:

No one’s really on the chopping block heading into this event.

Interest Level: 4/10.

Events like these I just don’t get. There are no meaningful fights. nothing on the line, etc. P;us, the “Mayweather vs. McGregor” world tour has been all anyone is talking about, so I’m willing to bet most people forgot about this event, if they didn’t know about it before, that is. That said, I am liking the Paul Felder vs Stevie Ray fight, as it is my choice to win “Fight of the Night.” Other than that, the card is below average. Calvillo has looked great in her first two UFC fights and the promotion seems to be behind her. A win over “Jo Jo” will go a long way in making her the star UFC wants her to be.
