The trash-talking tour is officially over. In a matter of four days, four cities, and three countries, undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor made their rounds to promote their upcoming superfight on Aug. 26 live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two superstars made stops throughout the week in Los Angeles (watch here), Toronto (watch here), New York (watch here), and London (watch here).
While the Mayweather vs. McGregor World Tour produced duds at times, it was chock-full of back-and-forth exchanges between two of the best trash-talkers in combat sports today. The massive press tour featured on-stage scuffles, racial innuendos, flying $1 bills, unlikely bets, flag grabs and money bags, and a battle between fighter and father.
In addition to the real-life chaos, Mayweather vs. McGregor was recently given a “Bad Lip Reading” makeover. Considering the two combat stars stood face-to-face on countless occasions this past week, there was a lot to work with. Check out the above video for the hilarious compilation.
Remember to stick with Mania as both Mayweather and McGregor prepare for their showdown on Aug. 26. That’s more than a month away and there will surely be more trash talk between now and then.
