Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor has not one, but two Mayweathers to contend with ahead of his Aug. 26 boxing match, which takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Notorious” will battle Floyd Jr. on fight night, and Floyd Sr. on ... well, whenever the geriatric trainer decides to wander off and do that crazy old curmudgeon thing.
Like yesterday.
Mayweather Sr. was on hand for “The Money Fight” world tour press conference in Los Angeles, Calif. (watch the replay here), which brought the headlining fighters on stage to face off (see it) and promote their overpriced pay-per-view (PPV) spectacle.
Following the presser, which resumes later today (July 12) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, both Mayweather Jr. and McGregor went backstage for individual media scrums, prompting a fired-up Floyd Sr. to sneak in to make idle threats.
Wouldn’t be the first time and (hopefully) won't be the last.
