Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to the pay-per-view (PPV) market last Saturday night (July 8, 2017) for UFC 213: "Whittaker vs. Romero," which took place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The promotion's most recent mixed martial arts (MMA) event was headlined by Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero, with “The Reaper” capturing a unanimous decision win over “Soldier of God” to win the interim middleweight strap.
That bout replaced Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko, after “Lioness” withdrew due to illness.
In the UFC 213 co-headliner, Alistair Overeem continued his winning ways by turning away Fabricio Werdum, capturing the rubber match in his “Vai Cavalo” trilogy and inching himself closer to another title shot.
