UFC Fight Night 110 results: 'Lewis vs Hunt' live stream play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Auckland, New Zealand, this Saturday (June 10, 2017) for the first time in nearly three years with UFC Fight Night 110: "Lewis vs. Hunt," which takes place inside Spark Arena and airs live on FOX Sports 1. Unlike the first stop, though, the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion will bring with it perhaps its most popular and beloved combat sports kiwi, Mark Hunt, who will look to snap the six-fight win streak of Derrick Lewis in front of a proud hometown crowd in the main event of the evening.

UFC Fight Night 110 will also feature a Middleweight showdown between Top 15-ranked Octagon veterans Derek Brunson (No. 8) and unlikely Australian 185-pound contender, Daniel Kelly (No. 15), as well as a fun Lightweight scrap between The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 9 winner, Ross Pearson, against local product, Dan Hooker.

205 lbs.: Derrick Lewis vs. Mark Hunt

Round one: Lewis threatening kicks early on. One minute in. Leg kick lands for Lewis. Hunt jumps in with a left hook, glances off. Lewis slams a couple of head kicks into Hunt’s forearm. Two minutes in. Hunt checks a leg kick and looks for an overhand right. Lewis tries another head kick, fires an uppercut inside. Body kick lands for him. Lewis ducks an elbow and shoots in, no dice. Two minutes to go.

1-2 by Lewis. Lewis barrels into him and they briefly clinch. Hunt bounces some left hooks off Lewis’ guard. Leg kick for Hunt with 45 seconds to go. Lewis hops in with a jumping knee attempt. Hunt catches a kick and punts the lead leg. 10-10.

Round two: Lewis still sending out kicks. Hunt falls short with a leg kick. Lewis does not. Overhand right clips Hunt. Another leg kick and a flying knee attempt a minute in. Hunt swats him with an overhand right on the fence. Leg kick connects. Another one and it looks like Lewis is already feeling them. Hunt presses in and catches a finger in the eye.They resume two minutes into the round. Hunt slings an overhand right, just misses and eats one from Lewis. Hunt checks a low kick, blocks a head kick. Two minutes to go.

Lewis leaps in with a flying knee to the stomach and lands a left hand behind it. Nice counter right by Hunt and Lewis backs off. Hunt stalking him, lands a left hook. Slashing elbow just misses as he pursues. Lewis tries to change levels with a minute to go, can’t do so and Hunt clocks him with the elbow. Overhand right lands for Lewis, then another. Hunt backing him to the fence. Lewis tries a head kick and eats a sharp left hook. 10-9 Hunt.

Round three: Lewis still sending out kicks. Hunt on the advance. Lewis ducks an elbow, lands a knee to the body, and looks for massive uppercuts. Sharp jab lands for him a minute in. Hunt just misses on a looping right hand. Lewis looks like he’s starting to fade a bit. Two minutes in. Lewis tries to hold and hit, just misses. Left hook and uppercut from Hunt. Leg kick lands. Two minutes to go and Hunt cracks him with a left hook.

Elbow from Hunt. Lewis shoots, easily rebuffed. Lewis meets a jab with a left hook. Hunt plugs him with a right to the body, then a left hook. Lewis is winding up with his back on the fence way too often. One minute to go. Hunt digs another hook downstairs. Overhand right just misses, as does one from Lewis. 10-9 Hunt.

Round four: Lewis willingly backing to the fence. Hunt lands a leg kick and continues to target the body. One minute in. Lewis leg kick, Hunt answers in kind. Hunt cracks him with a 1-1-2 that momentarily rattles him. Left hook catches Hunt leaning, Lewis too tired to capitalize. Two minutes in. Hunt thumps him with a right to the gut. Again. Lewis is not moving well at all. Two minutes to goo.

Another right to the body. BIG right hand sends Lewis stumbling. Hunt staying patient, eats a knee. Lewis covering up on the fence as Hunt pursues him and a left hook sends the ref into action.

185 lbs.: Derek Brunson vs. Daniel Kelly

Round one: Low kick from Brunson. Overhand left falls short. More low kicks. One minute in. MONSTER left hand flattens Kelly and Brunson pounds away with hammerfists until the ref steps in.

155 lbs.: Dan Hooker vs. Ross Pearson

Round one: Low kick from Hooker. Overhand right lands for Pearson, then a body shot off another leg kick. Hard counter combo. Low kick by Pearson, harder one from Hooker. One minute in. Lots of feints from both sides. Good leg kicks by Hooker. Pearson fakes a single-leg. Leg kick again by Hooker. Two minutes in. Another low kick from Hooker, who eats a corkscrew uppercut. Front kick by Hooker, then another leg kick . Peason lands a lead left hook, takes another low kick. Two minutes to go.

Hooker looking for head kicks, eats a body shots. Low kick from Hooker, Pearson shoots in and lands a hard knee and uppercut. Hooker shoots, denied. One minute to go. Glancing front kick lands for Hooker. Pearson left hook. Low kick lands. A Hooker leg kick spins him around. 10-9 Hooker.

Round two: Corkscrew uppercut and left hook land for Pearson. Low-high combo. Hooker picking at his lead leg as Pearson tries to weave his way in. One minute in. Hooker cracks him with another leg kick, eats a three-piece combo. Pearson to the body. Another corkscrew upper from Pearson. Hooker low kick and sstraight right, but Pearson answers with a combo. Two minutes in. Hooker dings him with low kicks and a straight right. Hard straight right by Hooker. Left hook by Pearson in return. Body shots. Suddenly, as Pearson ducks in, Hooker catches him with an absolutely perfect knee that knocks him stiff. Stunning knockout by “The Hangman.”

205 lbs.: Ion Cutelaba vs. Henrique da Silva

Round one: Cutelaba comes out slugging, dropping da Silva with a left hook and driving home jackhammer right hands until the Brazilian goes out.

125 lbs.: Tim Elliott vs. Ben Nguyen

Round one: Nguyen stuffs an early takedown, lands a head kick, and engages in a ridiculous scramble that sees him take Elliott’s back. Elliott stands with Nguyen attached and his hands go out of position just long enough for Nguyen to lock up the rear naked choke.

Final result: Nguyen def. Elliott by submission (rear naked choke)


145 lbs.: Mizuto Hirota vs. Alex Volkanovski

Round one: Volkanovski fires a flurry and presses Hirota against the fence a minute in. Volkanovski driving hard, drops Hirota with a right hand and starts raining down vicious shots. Absolutely brutal punches. Hirota goes for a leg, Volkanovski avoids it and wades back into the clinch with more punches. Spinning elbow lands for him on the break. Two minutes to go.

Leg kick exchanges. Right hand from Hirota. Lw kick connects, Volkanovski shoots in. Outside trip succeeds with a minute to go. Hirota pops up, hit with a foot sweep. Volkanovski clinches up again, avoids an elbow on the break. Overhand right lands for him before the bell. 10-8 Volkanovski.

Round two: Hard left hook lands for Hirota, Volkanovski ties up. Hirota threatens a trip before they break. Hard right by Volkanovski and he ties up again. Another spinning elbow and this one drops Hirota, who pops up and eats another right hand. Volkanovski shoots again, dumps him on the mat a minute in. Hirota makes it to his feet and separates. Another overhand right. Volkanovski misses a spinning back elbow, slips, and they scramble. Two minutes in. They separate from the clinch. Hirota looking to bring his boxing to bear, so far struggling to do so. Straight right lands. Two minutes to go.

Hirota still throwing, landing glancing blows. Good jab briefly bothers Volkanovski. Hirota doing better, one minute to go. BIG overhand right from Volkanovski and another one drops Hirota. Volkanovski with some brutal ground-and-pound before the bell. 10-9 Volkanovski.

Round three: Hirota showing some urgency. Nice counter uppercut after a two-piece from Volkanovski, who ties up on the fence. Volkanovski with a spinning elbow on the break a minute in. Hirota pops him with a counter. Sneaky trip by Hirota, can’t take top position. Punch to the thigh because why not. He grabs double underhooks and looks to trip Volkanovski. Can’t do so. Overhand right lands again for Volkanovski after a Hirota combo and he shoots. Hirota pops up. They separate with two minutes to go.

They trade body blows. Left hook by Volkanovski. Head kick and right hand land for Hirota and he ties up. Volkanovski fights off a trip with a minute to go. Elbow on the break by Hirota. Overhand right from Volkanovski. Again. Hirota charges after him with a flurry and Volkanovski shoots again before the bell. 10-9 Volkanovski on heavier shots.

Final result: Volkanovski def. Hirota by unanimous decision


155 lbs.: Damien Brown vs. Vinc Pichel

Round one: Pichel with a jab to the body. Hard right hand from Brown, then a leg kick. One minute in. Pichel pops him with a hard uppercut. Low kick form Pichel, right hands from Brown. Double right hand lands for Brown, then another right. He’s landing a good chunk of what he throws, though Pichel doesn’t seem put out. Overhand right from Brown. Body shots. Pichel lands a huge uppercut, Brown throws back with two minutes to go.

Pichel left hook. Counter right by Brown, who walks headlong into a counter uppercut that knocks him cold. The ref lets him get bashed in and out of consciousness for a bit before stepping in.

Final result: Pichel def. Brown by KO (punches)


170 lbs.: Luke Jumeau vs. Dominique Steele

Round one: They trade hooks in the center. Inside low kick by Jumeau. One minute in. Spinning back fist by Steele glances off. Steele ducks a pair of right hands and rushes, putting Jumeau on the fence. Two minutes in. Jumeau separates. Steele’s really rushing in, Jumeau looking to counter. Left hook by Steele. Low kick by Jumeau. Steele with a tight left hook. Two minutes to go.

Leg kick by Steele. Body shot lands and he drags Jumeau to the mat from the rear waistlock. Side control with a minute to work. Good knee by Steele, Jumeau regains guard. Ground-and-pound before the bell. 10-9 Steele.

Round two: Steele with a jumping knee to the body and he shoots. Jumeau grabs an underhook and separates. Hard body shot by Jumeau, who rocks Steele with an overhand right and follow-up uppercut. Steele grabs double underhooks a minute in. Jumeau reverses and throws hard after getting a bit of space. Knees to the midsection. Two minutes in. Knee from Steele and he shoots in. Jumueau wrenches an underhook to deny it. They separate with just over two minutes to go.

Steele falls well short with a spin. Jumeau stuffs a shot and puts him on the fence, going back to the foot stomps. One minute to go. Steele reverses position. Jumeau uses the same underhook to defend and reverses, landing knees to the thigh. 10-9 Jumeau.

Round three: Body kick from Steele, who puts Jumeau on the fence. Steele wrenches him down to a knee, can’t keep him there. Double underhooks for Steele. One minute in. Jumeau reverses, nearly lands a spinning elbow that allows Steele to reverse in turn. Jumeau asks the ref for a separation, gets it. Two minutes in. Jumeau clips him with a pair of counter rights. Two right hands stun Steele once again and he opens up. Steele tries to shoot, lands a left hook. Steele’s still throwing with him. Two minutes to go.

Jab from Steele and he shoots. Steele’s going hard for this takedown, can’t get it with a minute to go. Jumeau shoves him away and cracks him with a 1-2. Jumeau sprawls on a shot. 10-9 Jumeau.

125 lbs.: Ashkan Mokhtarian vs. John Moraga

Round one: Mokhtarian shoots in forty seconds in and Moraga latches onto an arm-in guillotine. One minute in. Moraga adjusting his grip, putting on the squeeze, but Mokhtarian survives and stands. Two minutes in. Mokhtarian keeps him pressed against the cage for a while. Check hook, right hand from Moraga with two minutes to go.

Mokhtarian shoots and Moraga sprawls, immediately moving to the back. He drops some punches and Mokhtarian looks for a heel hook, which Moraga avoids. He turns into Moraga an dMoraga threatens another guillotine with a minute to go. Mokhtarian goes to his knees, eats a nasty elbow and gives up his back. Thumping shots by Moraga and he’s got both hooks in. Moraga transitions to an armbar, can’t get it before the bell. 10-9 Moraga.

Round two: Hard low kicks from Mokhtarian. One minute in. Mokhtarian gets lazy retracting a kick and eats a hard right hand, then a flying knee. Hard left hook. Body shots. Two minutes in. Straight right lands clean, then a counter left hook as has Mokhtarian stumbling back. Two minutes to go.

Moraga catches a body kick and takes him down into guard. Nice elbows from the top. He passes all the way to side control. One minute to go. Mokhtarian goes to his knees, gives up mount, gives up his back again. Full mount and now full back mount for Moraga, who threatens an arm-triangle from mount and then an armbar before the bell. 10-9 Moraga.

Round three: Moraga cracks Mokhtarian with a knee as the latter steps in, then takes him down into guard. Hard ground-and-pound. One minute in. Side control for Moraga, looking for an armbar. Mokhtarian slips out and stands, only to get thrown back down into side control. Two minutes in. Mokhtarian grabs a thigh and Moraga sprawls, locking up an anaconda choke. Mokhtarian slips out, but Moraga has full mount. Two minutes to go.

Moraga staying patient, now postures up and slugs away. Now he takes the back and cracks him with an elbow when he returns to mount. Mokhtarian spins into guard before the bell. 10-8 Moraga.

Final result: Moraga def. Mokhtarian by unanimous decision


170 lbs.: Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Zak Ottow

Round one: Low kicks from both men to start. Hard low kick by Kunimoto, who eats a body kick and inside low kick. Kunimoto pops him with a jab as Ottow goes after his legs. One minute in. Right hand lands for Ottow. Check hook connects. Liver kick. Two minutes in. Kunimoto shoots, tries to haul Ottow to the fence but gets reversed. They separate. Body kick lands for Ottow. Nasty 3-2 connects with two minutes to go.

Another straight left and right hook for Ottow. Kunimoto catches a kick and shoots, trying to transition to a double-leg.No dice, so he goes to a body lock as Ottow chips away with short punches. One minute to go. Knee from Ottow and right hand by Kunimoto on the break. 10-9 Ottow.

Round two: Ottow stumbles Kunimoto with a counter right hand, but Kunimoto waves him on. Back to trading kicks. They exchange punches in the center. One minute in. Straight left from Ottow, Kunimoto catches a body kick and takes him down. Kunimoto slips past his butterfly hooks and settles down in guard. Two minutes in. Ottow staying busy off of his back, manages to kick Kunimoto off and take him down in return. Kunimoto gives up his back with two minutes to go.

Both hooks in for Ottow. Good control as Kunimoto tries to spin. One minute to go, Kunimoto reverses into guard and cracks him with a right hand, moving to half guard. He jumps for a guillotine and Ottow takes top position. 10-9 Ottow.

Round three: Hard right hook dings Kunimoto, but he blasts through into guard. One minute in. Ottow doing a solid job of maintaining guard, but Kunimoto is staying busy enough for the referee to let him work. Two minutes in. One butterfly hook in for Ottow. He transitions to a triangle, then tries to stand. Neither succeeds. Two minutes to go.

Left hand lands for Kunimoto and he puts in one hook and then another as Ottow gives up the back. Kunimoto tries to set up the arm triangle, but Ottow spins into guard. He cracks Kunimoto with a left as he stands and Kunimoto jumps for a guillotine at the bell. 10-9 Kunimoto.

Final result: Ottow def. Kunimoto by split decision


115 lbs.: J.J. Aldrich vs. Chan-Mi Jeon

Round one: They trade kicks early, after which Aldrich cracks Jeon with a right hook. Another right hook as Jeon looks for a body kick. Jeon staying busy with her back leg, lands a straight right. One minute in. Big head kick by Aldrich, but Jeon answers with punches. 1-2 by Jeon, Aldrich cracks her with a knee in the clinch. 2-1 by the Korean, who eats another right hook. Two minutes in. Another counter right hook as Aldrich eats a body kick. Jeon knocks her over in the clinch, strikes as Aldrich stands. Two minutes to go.

Aldrich low kick. Body kick from Jeon and they trade punches. 1-2 by Aldrich. 3-2 knocks Jeon back, drawing a smile with a minute to go. Inside low kick, right hand, flurry by Aldrich. They trade thumping right hands. 10-9 Aldrich.

Round two: Inside low kick exchange. Stiff jab by Aldrich. 1-2 lands flush for her. One minute in. Leg kick exchange. Aldrich on the advance, looking for right hands. Good kick exchange, Aldrich finds her with more rights. Both land low kicks. Two minutes in. Jeon finds her with a jab and a three-piece combo as they exchange. Check right hook lands on Jeon’s ear and appears to stumble her, but she lands a right in return a minute in. 1-2 by Aldrich. Two minutes in. Straight left from Aldrich. Jeon fires a body kick. 1-2 lands for Aldrich once again. She follows up with a glancing wheel kick and Jeon waves her up. Two minutes to go.

Jeon runs in with a low kick and eats a straight left. Left hook lands for her as Aldrich throws a leg kick. Straight left from Aldrich yet again. One minute to go. Jeon eats a pair of body kicks and a right hook. Straight left. Both of them posturing now. Jeon still going for it, but it’s Aldrich finding the mark. 10-9 Aldrich.
