Well, this sucks.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was forced to postpone its Donald Cerrone vs Robbie Lawler welterweight showdown, thanks to a late injury that bounced “Cowboy” from the “Sin City” fight card.

That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.

While Cerrone may not be ready in time for the UFC 213 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place Sat., July 8, 2017 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, there’s hope the former lightweight will be ready in time for the promotion’s following PPV show.

UFC 214, to be exact, scheduled for July 28 in Anaheim, California.

No doubt “Ruthless” fans will be bummed by today’s news, as Lawler hasn’t seen action since surrendering his welterweight strap to Tyron Woodley roughly one year back. Cerrone, meanwhile, competed three times during that span, getting stopped by Jorge Masvidal his last time out.
