Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is reworking its upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) schedule, removing a planned event for August and setting up a new one for September.
While details are scarce regarding the show that was recently scrapped, it should be noted that UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor will box Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Aug. 26 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Much more on that silly spectacle right here.
While that’s not a UFC event and requires no real effort from the mixed martial arts (MMA) community, the PPV price tag for “Notorious” and Co. could sail upward of $100, leaving combat sports fans strapped for competing events in or around that timeframe.
With that event trashed, the promotion announced the UFC 215 PPV card taking place inside Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, which will no doubt feature this returning superstar, if possible.
