Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans expecting Conor McGregor to have a puncher’s chance against Floyd Mayweather Jr. this August, when “Notorious” crosses over to the “sweet science” for a whopping zillion-dollar payday, are probably going to cry themselves to sleep after watching this video.
Watch it in slow motion so you don’t miss any of those lightning-fast punches.
Mayweather may be 40 years old, but he’s still a SAVAGE in the gym, making mince meat of the heavy bag. Then watch him spar with an opponent who is probably three times his size and roast those ribs like it was a Fourth of July barbecue.
“I can get a black eye, a bloody nose, I can have a bad day in the gym,” Mayweather said (via TMZ). “At the end of the day, I don't have a bad payday and I don't have a bad night under the lights."
Not coincidentally, the 2017 ESPY awards just added a write-in candidate after watching the above video.
McGregor has a sparring video of his own, which didn't leave his “Notorious” fan base with that warm, fuzzy feeling (watch it here). No matter, as the UFC lightweight champion will be back inside the Octagon by year’s end.
Assuming Mayweather doesn’t hurt him too badly.
