Bellator 180: “Sonnen vs. Silva,” which takes place inside Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., is the place to be this weekend (Sat., June 24, 2017), featuring an epic double main event that will see Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva finally settle their beef, as well as Fedor Emelianenko locking horns with Matt Mitrione in a Heavyweight bout that was originally supposed to happen back in February.
There’s one more pit stop on the road to history, though, and it’s at Dave & Buster’s in Times Square, the pulsing pop heartbeat of Manhattan. Indeed, fight fans have an exclusive chance to meet mixed martial arts (MMA) legends Royce Gracie and Tito Ortiz this Friday (June 23) before the fights take place. The event is free, but those who are interested in attending must first RSVP with Bellator Nation.
Ortiz (19-12-1) announced his retirement after defeating Bellator 180 headliner Chael Sonnen back in January, while Gracie (15-2-3) last fought Ken Shamrock in Houston in 2016, but did not officially hang up the gloves. Both are regulars at “Fan Fest” events thanks to their ongoing relationship with Scott Coker and Bellator.
The meet and greet at Dave & Buster’s with Gracie and Ortiz starts at 8 pm ET.
