Japanese MMA legend Takanori Gomi was looking to put an end to his three-fight losing streak earlier today (Sat., June 17, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 111 live on Fight Pass from inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, when he took on talented lightweight Jon Tuck. Unfortunately for “The Fireball Kid,” Tuck came out of the gate hot. In a matter of just 72 seconds, Tuck was able to take Gomi’s back and sink in a nasty rear-naked choke, forcing the 38-year-old to tap.

With this win, Tuck gets back into the 155-pound win column after dropping back-to-back split decisions. More importantly, the 32-year was able to even up his UFC record at 4-4. Tuck will look to ride this momentum into the second half of 2017 as he tries to stand out in UFC’s most talent-rich division.
