Video: Leonard Ellerbe, Dana White media scrum for Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is all smiles, as is Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, after coming to terms on a boxing super fight that will pit undefeated pugilist Floyd Mayweather Jr. against mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Conor McGregor.

Probably because all parties involved will get rich(er).

Both promoters were on hand last Wednesday night to announce the historic showdown, though I’m sure most fight fans missed it because they were too busy watching episode nine of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): “Redemption” on FOX Sports 1.

Just in case you were not, here is my complete recap.

As you might expect, this spectacle will dominate the headlines for the next several days, which means the poor folks competing (and competing for your attention) at UFC Fight Night 111 will be overshadowed by “Notorious” and Co. as more details regarding the Aug. 26 boxing match start to trickle in.

Better get those plane tickets to “Sin City” while you still can.
