Jon Jones fires back at Alexander Gustafsson, shreds ‘f—-ing dork’ for having no heart

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson got right back into the 205-pound title hunt with a blistering knockout win over fellow division standout Glover Teixeira last weekend in Sweden.

Following his destruction of the power-punching Brazilian, “The Mauler” let the world know he was gunning for the winner of Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones, who collide at UFC 214 for the light heavyweight strap.

And Gustafsson added his two cents about “Bones,” who’s seen his fair share of troubles outside the Octagon that include but are not limited to legal drama and positive drug tests.

Jones fired back by way of his official Twitter account:

“I'm not a champion because you don't like my personality? Fuck you lol. ‘Jon Jones is a bad person’ ... you sound like a fucking dork. Congrats on the engagement though, beautiful woman. Of course you are rooting for Daniel, Gus, you might as well pray for him while you're at it. And here's a little FYI, you didn't lose against ‘DC’ and I because of your cardio, it was because your lack of heart.”

Not an uncommon critique.

Jones and Gustafsson went to war across five grueling rounds in the UFC 165 main event back in late 2013, a narrow decision that swung in favor of “Bones” in what is widely considered the greatest 205-pound title fight of all time.

“The Mauler” had a similar close call when he battled Cormier at UFC 192.

Now all the towering Swede can do is sit and wait for the outcome of UFC 214, and if he’s lucky enough to face the winner of Cormier vs. Jones, he’ll be able to prove once and for all he’s got the right stuff.
