Pic: Cain Velasquez just got whacked by Tommy DeVito

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Cain Velasquez is currently on hiatus from mixed martial arts (MMA), thanks to his longstanding battle with injuries.

No point in sitting around the house feeling sorry for himself.

Velasquez was in attendance at the George Lopez Foundation Event, a celebrity golf outing that raised money and awareness for kidney disease and organ donation, benefitting underprivileged children, adults, and military families.

“All I said was that he's a funny guy!” Velasquez wrote on Twitter. “An honor to be choked by the legendary Joe Pesci at George Lopez’s George Lopez Foundation Event.”

Find out how to donate here.

Velasquez went under the knife earlier this year for the eighth time in his professional MMA career, the latest setback for the 14-2 wrestler, who turns 35 this July. No telling if and when he’ll make his way back to combat sports, but it might be time for this guy to find a new dance partner.
