A battle for Mexican supremacy goes down this Saturday evening (May 6, 2017) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Saul “Canelo” Alvarez takes on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the main event of a four-fight HBO pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast.
In addition to the tantalizing prospect of two come-forward bruisers locking horns, the fight offers a multitude of storylines, including the pending battle between Chavez’s waistline and the 164.5-pound Catchweight. MMAmania will have LIVE coverage of “Canelo vs. Chavez Jr.” this weekend, starting with the HBO PPV broadcast at 9 p.m. ET. We will also host the official YouTube stream of the “Prelims” fights starting at 7 p.m. ET.
In addition to the headliner, the card will feature Middleweight puncher and potential future Alvarez foe David Lemieux, as well as the return of Lucas Matthysse in his Welterweight debut.
