Midnight Mania! UFC Heavyweight champ, Stipe Miocic, gets humbled at firehouse - ‘Good job! Now go clean a toilet’

Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight ...

Welcome to Midnight Mania! Tonight, we’ve got Stipe getting humbled and also choosing to embrace rompers, Conor with high white socks and too many belts, Joe Rogan avoiding temptation, Nick Diaz not, Yoel Romero shouting incomprehensibly, sumo, and much more

Fire Fighter

Stipe Miocic may have tied the record for UFC Heavyweight wins with his stunning knockout win over Junior Dos Santos, and even cracked the top five P4P list, but he doesn’t have any trouble staying grounded. Not only does he have a complete disregard for celebrity, but the folks in his life won’t let his success go to his head. He shared as much in an interview on the Jim Rome show:

“I have good people around me. My wife is amazing, my family, my friends, my teammates, my co-workers at the fire station, they keep me grounded, and I love where I’m at and the people that support me,” Miocic said.

In fact, he says his fellow fire fighters do not care about his fame as a cage fighting world champion.

“I usually walk in, they say congratulations, and they’ll hand me a scrubber and say get to the toilets or something like that. They really don’t care,” Miocic laughed.

Even though he’s the world heavyweight champion, Stipe says he would never think of quitting his day job. He’s blue collar to the core, and loves helping people.

“I love what I do. My whole life I’ve been helping people, and I’ve been helped so I can give back,” Miocic said. “And plus I worked so hard to get there, to become a firefighter, going to school and paramedic and all that good stuff, and make my mom proud, show my mom that she raised a son that works hard.”

That doesn’t mean, though, that Stipe can’t appreciate the latest and worst fashion trends.

There are too many belts in this picture. One of them must be the fake belt he bought to annoy Jose Aldo on their world tour.

This impressionist is incredible

The odds for MayGregor have shifted slightly in Conor’s favor... but the Grand Canyon is still smaller.

Don’t forget Rory Macdonald’s welterweight debut in Bellator is tomorrow night.

Absolutely no idea what Yoel Romero is saying here but maybe he should lay off the pre workouts

Joe Rogan being honest

Meisha thought this was funny

Alright, Nick. This is definitely NSFW.

I’ve heard enough about men’s rompers at this point.

Slips, Rips, and SUMO CLIPS!!!

Remember that brawl in the park, with Erdogan’s goons beating down protesters? Looks like he ordered that to happen personally.

15 years to the day since this amazing brawl happened.

Good point
