May 6th was a rough day for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Not only did he lose every round in his high profile fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, he also lost his phone, watch, and $3 million dollar paycheck. No one would call the judge's decision against him that night a robbery. What happened afterwards in his hotel room certainly applies.
According to Chavez's wife Frida (via ESPN Mexico), the couple met a British man and his three female friends at a bar in MGM Grand Garden Arena following the fight. Frida left to care for their infant daughter. Chavez and the others ended up in a hotel room where the following tomfoolery was captured on video and posted online days later:

It was during this partying that Frida believes the group drugged Chavez and stole his watch, phone, and $3 million paycheck from the Canelo fight. At the very least, she claims Julio was plied with alcohol and ‘the object of a trap.’ Now that’s one understanding wife!
MGM Grand security confirmed that the check was recovered on premises soon afterward, but police are still investigating the theft of Julio's Hublot watch, valued at $40,000.

Let this be a lesson to everyone here: If you're going to be getting crazy with a bunch of randoms in Las Vegas, make sure to secure your valuables beforehand.
