Stipe Miocic may be the baddest man on the planet, but deep down he’s still a big mama’s boy.
After the current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion of the world knocked out Junior dos Santos in the very first round of their title fight at last night’s (Sat., May 13, 2017) UFC 211 pay-per-view (PPV) event (see it), the first item on his agenda was to call his mother to talk about the fight.
It’s a tradition the champ has had for as long as he can remember, as he revealed to Fox Sports that he calls her every time immediately after a fight; win, lose or draw.
The baddest man on the planet calls his mom after every fight?

“My mom, you don’t understand that’s my best friend. She started crying, we were all emotional over here, which is terrible, I’m trying to be a man right now, and I’m not being a man at all. Looking at my mom like that, she’s awesome.”
Indeed, calling up his mom on the eve of Mother’s Day to share in the joy of his latest title defense is perhaps one of the greatest gifts she could’ve received. That said, anyone care to share what gift (s) you’ll be showering your mother with today?
