Hometown favorite Rashad Coulter made his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., May 13, 2017) at UFC 211 from inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, when he took on heavyweight knockout specialist Chase Sherman. Despite taking the fight on short notice, Coulter showed massive resilience, but ultimately fell victim in dramatic fashion. Sherman wasted little time in attacking the lead leg of Coulter and forcing the UFC rook to overextend and leave himself open. Coulter would rebound in Round 2 and land hard right hands and uppercuts on “Vanilla Gorilla,” but Sherman stood tough. Both men exchanged massive shots as they barely stayed standing. After landing a crisp elbow along the cage, Sherman slumped Coulter and finally put an end to one of the craziest heavyweights fights of the year.

Chase Sherman and Rashad Coulter #UFC211 https://t.co/3n4s2TVrcP
With this win, Sherman locks down his first victory inside of the Octagon. He still has a lot of work to do to warrant a shot at somebody in the top 15, but Sherman is an extremely entertaining fighter who can land a punch, as well as take one.
