It was a quick, yet extremely memorable, performance for James Vick earlier tonight (Sat., May 13, 2017) at UFC 211 from inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, when he put a stop to Mexican lightweight Marco Polo Reyes during the FX “Prelims.” Vick was coming off a submission win of Abel Trujillo and was competing in front of his home crowd of Texas. Vick didn’t have to defend much at all in the early going, as he was able to use his reach and footwork to escape most of Polo Reyes’ advancements. Once Polo Reyes overextended on a combination, Vick caught him with a left counter and followed that up with a hard right hand. Polo Reyes dropped to the canvas and Vick finished him quickly via TKO.

With this win, Vick improves his UFC lightweight record to 7-1. He looks better every time he steps inside of the Octagon and should be a considered a dark horse to test the top 10 in 2017.
