Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight “it” girl, Paige VanZant, came under fire earlier this month after posting a provocative Reebok advertisement to her social media accounts.
The video caused an uproar from her fellow fighters (sample here) and was quickly removed. VanZant, however, insists she did not have the post taken down and instead blames her mom for deleting it.
Furthermore, “12 Gauge” doesn't even see what all the fuss is about.
"Actually, I haven’t seen anything that people responded, so I post things and just kinda forget about it,” VanZant told MMA Fighting. "Definitely it was funny. I never anticipated that kind of reaction, so I had no idea. It was me being funny, I thought."
This guy certainly had a few laughs.
VanZant (7-3) signed an exclusive sponsorship with Reebok back in early 2015 but was unable to parlay that investment into a successful run at the title. “12 Gauge” is coming off a submission loss to Michelle Waterson at UFC on FOX 22 last December.
