Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 185-pound champion Chris Weidman loves to beat the shit out of Brazilian middleweights, knocking off former division titleholders Anderson Silva (twice), Lyoto Machida, and Vitor Belfort.
That’s just mean.
But sooner or later “All American” will have to answer for his crimes, and streaking 185-pound “Shoe Face,” Antonio Carlos Junior, wants to be the judge, jury, and executioner later this year.
“I'm a more complete fighter, more experienced and happier,” Junior told Combate (via Bloody Elbow). “I'm sure I'll get this win in Rio and then, after, I want to fight Chris Weidman. He has some history with Brazilians and I want to be face-to-face with him."
Not so fast.
Junior (7-2, 1 NC) must first overcome fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) veteran Eric Spicely at the upcoming UFC 212: “Aldo vs. Holloway” pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place June 3, 2017 inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
