Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Chris Weidman returns to the Octagon later tonight (Sat., April 8, 2017) when he tangles with top streaking contender Gegard Mousasi in the UFC 210 pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event, set for KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
Weidman (13-2) is trying to slam the brakes on a two-fight losing streak. After coughing up his middleweight title to Luke Rockhold at UFC 194, the “All American” was planished by 185-pound bruiser Yoel Romero at UFC 205.
Mousasi (41-6-2) is currently riding a four-fight win streak, with his last three ending by way of technical knockout (like this one). “The Dreamcatcher” has been calling for a Weidman showdown in order to get himself one step closer to a division title shot.
