Highlights! Watch Daniel Cormier finish Anthony Johnson in UFC 210 simulation

Real life is too serious. Just ask Daniel Cormier and Pearl Gonzalez, who ran into towel-holding issues and breast implant hearsay, respectively, yesterday at UFC 210’s weigh ins. So in order to lighten the mood and slip away into a combat trance before the action gets real later tonight (Sat., April 8, 2017) at UFC 210 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, let us embark on a virtual journey into the main event rematch between “DC” and Anthony Johnson.

In the above EA Sports simulation, Cormier withstands a huge head kick from “Rumble” early into the fight, only to regain momentum by utilizing his wrestling and cage control. From there, the light heavyweight champion is able to chip away at Johnson before finishing him via TKO.

Both men obviously landed ridiculous video game punches and kicks, but you get the point. Despite fighting just twice since their initial meeting at UFC 187 two years ago, Cormier still has the ability to weather Johnson’s power and ground-and-pound his way to another dominant victory in the rematch.

Of course, EA Sports couldn’t possibly capture the sheer power of Johnson’s most harmful shots, so there’s a chance he drops “DC” and the champ doesn’t recover. We shall find out one way or another.
