Struggling UFC women’s bantamweight contender Jessica Eye is scheduled to return to action opposite promotional newcomer Aspen Ladd at The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale on July 7 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, per a report by BJPenn.com.
Eye, 30, only has one UFC victory to her name since making her debut in 2013. She has lost four straight, including losses to Miesha Tate and Julianna Pena, but remains one of the most battle-tested names on the 135-pound roster. UFC has given “Evil” a significant leash during her current divisional skid, but Eye must capture victory her next time out to avoid the promotional chopping block.
Ladd, 22, is an undefeated prospect who has captured all five of her professional wins as a member of Invicta FC. The rising prospect has shown the ability and willingness to throw heavy hands and sharp elbows, so her matchup with Eye should be entertaining to say the least.
TUF 25 Finale currently has no headliner, but will feature a matchup between the two finalists from the Ultimate Fighter Season 25 welterweight tournament.
