Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will finally make its Edmonton debut when the UFC 215 pay-per-view (PPV) event comes to Rogers Place on Sat., Sept. 9, 2017, marking the 10th city — and 24th fight card overall — to land in Canada.

UFC announced the upcoming event on Thursday.

“Edmonton is a great sports city and what we’ve been able to accomplish, and the energy and excitement we’ve been able to bring to Rogers Place is truly remarkable,” Bob Nicholson, Oilers Entertainment Group CEO & Vice Chair said in today’s release. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our one year anniversary and say thank you to fans in Edmonton and across Western Canada than by bringing a championship UFC fight to Rogers Place.”

No bouts have been announced for the Edmonton fight card; however, that is likely to change in the coming weeks. Depending on when Georges St-Pierre fights Michael Bisping (more on that here), there is a chance “Rush” could be a part of that debut.

Stay tuned.
