It was yet another spectacular performance for young flyweight Brandon Moreno earlier tonight (Sat., April 22, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 108 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, when he stormed into Dustin Ortiz’s own backyard and submitted him via rear-naked choke. Ortiz was able to do some damage early inside, landing a few takedowns and forcing the former Ultimate Fighter standout to dump a ton of energy. But in Round 2, after landing a nasty head kick that dropped Ortiz, Moreno took control on the ground, worked for positioning, and sunk in the second-round choke.

With this win, Moreno extends his UFC win streak to three. The kid has looked better in each one of his fights and may be extremely close to a title shot later this year. Moreno is obviously too green for a title fight opposite champion Demetrious Johnson, but he may be one of the only deserving contenders left.
