Knockout! Watch Mike Perry finish Jake Ellenberger via standing elbow at UFC Fight Night 108

Struggling welterweight veteran Jake Ellenberger really needed to capture a win last night (Sat., April 22, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 108 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, when he took on Mike Perry in the opening main card showdown. Unfortunately for Ellenberger, the night didn’t go quite as planned.

Perry pressed forward in the early going and forced Ellenberger to back up along the cage, but Ellenberger was able to land a few takedowns and a nasty body kick in response. In Round 2, “Platinum” took over. After dropping Ellenberger with a huge left hook that dropped him, Perry proceeded to finish “Juggernaut” with a nasty standing elbow off the clinch. It was a devastating knockout and one that left Ellenberger motionless on the canvas for a while.

The insane knockout finish can be seen above courtesy of UFC.

With this win, Perry gets back into the win column, but more importantly he demonstrates his knockout power against a known name at 170 pounds. As long as the rising prospect is able to control his rage and pick his shots, he’ll have a good 2017.
