Retired UFC fighter Tim Kennedy likes Trump's military handling so much that he just re-enlisted

Tim Kennedy explains why he re-enlisted in the army and how the military got it’s groove back under President Donald Trump.

Tim Kennedy may have retired from mixed martial arts, but that doesn't mean he's done fighting for what he believes in. The special forces green beret recently re-enlisted with the army following the election of President Donald Trump, and just made an appearance on FOX News to explain the decision to return to active duty.

"I've got hope again. The military, we got our teeth back," Kennedy said. "We dropped the biggest bomb, 11 tons of TNT essentially goes into destroying everything in a mile radius. We have [Secretary of Defense James] Mattis, we have [National Security Adviser H.R.] McMaster, we've got a reinvigorated, hopeful, beautiful military that is proud to be back on the team."

"So I jumped out of a helicopter last weekend and raised my hand to say I'll protect the constitution. Because I got people that will back me now. We're here to do work, we're here to win a war that we've been fighting and just holding onto for sixteen years, and that's about to change. We're definitely in the groove right now. I'm not saying we're in disco mode yet, but we're on our way to it."

As far as Kennedy is concerned, people need to unite behind the military as it attempts to stamp out violent extremist factions in the Middle East.

"World War II was the last time we truly could stand together and say this is evil, we have to stop that," Kennedy said. "Fascism, the murdering of helpless Jews in the street, wearing a gold star. That was the last time that we all stood together. This is similar. These people are radical. They are insane. They'll do anything they can with any weapon they can put their hands on to hurt everything that you love."

"So we can stand together and fight that. This is a nation, this is us saying no no, you cannot throw gays off buildings. You can't drown people. That's not going to happen. We're going to fight you tooth and nail, we're going to do it together. And now we have people that are back in the military that are going to do just that."

What do you think, Maniacs? Do Tim Kennedy's words have you flying your America flag high and proud or are you unsure more military intervention in the Middle East will actually help stabilize things? Whatever your opinion, Tim Kennedy will be putting his money where his mouth is. He's set to deploy in the next couple of weeks, and we don't think that will end well for any of the enemies he encounters in the field.
