UFC welterweight veteran Zak Cummings cashed in on fighting in front of a hometown crowd earlier today (Sat., April 15, 2017) at UFC on FOX 24 from inside Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, when he made quick work of Ultimate Fighter alum Nathan Coy. In the lone 170-pound tilt of the night, Cummings utilized his long reach in the opening moments to press Coy and back him up to defend. After Coy attempted a hearty takedown in the middle of the Octagon, Cummings grabbed a hold of his neck and it all went downhill for Coy from there. Cummings held on tight, spun the wrestler over and proceeded to lock in a definitive first-round guillotine choke.
The memorable finish can be seen below courtesy of UFC.

With this win, Cummings earns his third UFC submission finish. The 32-year-old has rebounded nicely from a loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio back in August to win two-straight Octagon appearances. Cummins looked fantastic tonight and should work his ways towards the top 15 in 2017.
