After nearly two years on the sidelines -- thanks in large part to an ACL injury — Jessica Aguilar will return to action as she has been booked to face Cortney Casey at the stacked UFC 211 pay-per-view (PPV) event on May 13 in Dallas, Texas.
“Jag’s” Octagon debut didn’t go as she would’ve hoped, coming up short against Claudia Gadelha at UFC 190 back in 2015. After plenty of time off to recoup and heal up, the former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) champion looks to get back on the winning track when she faces off against Casey, who was also last seen losing to the aforementioned Gadleha four months ago.
UFC 211 will feature a heavyweight title fight between division champion Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos, while the co-main event will see women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defend her strap against Jessica Andrade.
Also, Demian Maia looks to make a case for his own title shot when he faces the streaking Jorge Masvidal, while Frankie Edgar and Yair Rodriguez collide in an intriguing Featherweight bout. Plus Eddie Alvarez returns to face Dustin Poirier in lightweight action.
