Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor, according to his Instagram account, runs the city of Liverpool, England.
No disrespect to the folks across the pond, but if standing on the hood of a rental car is all it takes to “run the city,” then I’m showing up in my KIA SOUL to conquer the rest of the country.
Unlike McGregor, I probably won’t be threatened with a tow truck lawsuit (I own my lil’ hamstermobile because the choice was mine).
“Notorious” found himself in hot water with the rental agency who provided the vehicle, Platinum Executive Travel, as they were not amused by the trash-talking Irishman’s post (or his footprints), especially when you consider the exorbitant price of a Rolls-Royce.
“He stood on the car acting like it is his own,” a spokesman for the Midlands-based company told Liverpool ECHO. "It is not his own.”
McGregor owns plenty of nice cars (proof) ... just not that one.
“Notorious” is traveling the world for various media appearances (like this) while campaigning for a boxing super fight against Floyd Mayweather. Hopefully he doesn’t forget to show up for this during all the international hubbub.
