It’s time to see what featherweight phenom Yair Rodriguez is really made of.

“Pantera” will be asked to throw hands with former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight titleholder Frankie Edgar, as part of the stacked UFC 211 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card on Sat., May 13, 2017 inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

That’s according to a report from ESPN.

Rodriguez (10-1) captured the glass trophy on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): “Latin America” and not only lived up to expectations, but perhaps exceeded them with a six-fight winning streak inside the Octagon.

He was last seen destroying former two-division champion, BJ Penn, at UFC Fight Night 103.

But he’s likely in for the stiffest test of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career against Edgar (21-5-1), a decorated wrestler with outstanding boxing. “The Answer,” fresh off his unanimous decision win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205, is 6-1 dating back to late 2013.

Fun fight ... who ya’ got?

UFC 211 will be headlined by the heavyweight showdown pitting current champion Stipe Miocic against former 265-pound kingpin Junior dos Santos. In the strawweight championship co-main event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk puts her 115-pound title on the line against division top contender Jessica Andrade.
