Just as she did in late 2014, former adult film actress Christine “Christy MacK” Mackinday sat in open court to testify against ex-boyfriend Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver.
And, just like 2014, it was a painful experience.
“I just wanted to make him happy,” Mackinday told the jury. “I could prevent being hit, or him being angry, by doing something sexual. Now I understand the manipulation and abusive relationships. I look back, and I know that’s not how things should have been.”
Or perhaps they were, according to the accused.
Koppenhaver, who logged miles with both Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA, is charged with 34 felonies, including attempted murder, after his alleged attack on Mackinday and former reality show star Corey Thomas.
“War Machine,” who faces life in prison, plead not guilty to the litany of charges and opening statements were delivered in Clark County, Nevada, earlier this week (watch them here).
