Former WSOF two-division champion David Branch faces Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211

WSOF

UFC 211 just keeps getting better.

The upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event -- which is slated to go down on May 13, 2016 inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas — has added another interesting matchup, as former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) Light Heavyweight and Middleweight champion, David Branch, will return to the Octagon to face Krzysztof Jotko in a middleweight showdown.

MMA Fighting was the first to report the news.

Branch left WSOF earlier this year as the reigning 185 and 205 pound champion while enjoying a 10-fight win streak with the promotion. Branch’s initial stint with UFC saw him go an even 2-2 form 2010 to 2011. His only loss in the last five years came against current No. 1 Light Heavyweight contender, Anthony Johnson, back in 2012 under the Titan FC banner.

Jotko, meanwhile, is enjoying a five-fight win streak and was last seen taking out Thales Leites at UFC 100 last November.

UFC 211 will be headlined by a Heavyweight title fight, as Stipe Miocic defends his belt against Junior dos Santos. In the co-main event, women’s Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will put her 115-pound title on the line against division top contender Jessica Andrade.

Also on the card, Jorge Masvidal will face Demian Maia in a Welterweight match up that could provide the next title contender, while former Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez will face Dustin Poirier (details). Fabricio Werdum and Ben Rothwell are also expected to thrown down, assuming everything works out with this.
