Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Michael Bisping is preparing for his next title defense, a mid-summer showdown against former welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre.

And while “GSP” is confident he can hang with “The Count,” the current state of the 170-pound division has left the biggety Brit unimpressed with anything the lighter weight class has produced.
Especially after watching the ho-hum main event between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson at UFC 209.
“Well, let’s be honest, it was tactical but it wasn’t the most satisfying fight,” Bisping told TMZ Sports. “If they’re the best welterweights in the world, then I should fuck up GSP. That’s a fact. If they’re the best welterweights in the world then GSP is going to a funeral pretty quick.”

“Rush” hasn’t seen action since late 2013, so I’m not sure if either Woodley or Thompson are the appropriate measuring stick for St-Pierre’s ability. In addition, the French-Canadian phenom ruled the 170-pound roost for over six years before taking a break.
That might explain this.
