Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson went through a full five rounds of action last night (Sat., March 4, 2017) in the headlining bout of UFC 209 in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (video replay here). After five rounds of action, "The Chosen One" was awarded a majority decision victory over the “Wonderboy” with scores of 48-47, 47-47, 48-47, giving him some much-desired first-ever title defense.
Naturally, with such a close fight, many were confused at the decision, with some feeling Thompson should be the new champion, Dana White included. Thanks to MMA Fighting, which obtained a copy of the official judges scorecard, we can see just how Sal D’Amato, Derek Cleary and Chris Lee scored the bout. You've seen how the professionals scored it, now it's time to here from your end, so let us know how you scored the Welterweight championship rematch in the comments section below.
