UFC 209 bonuses: Darren Elkins’ knockout, Iuri Alcantara’s submission lead the way

The main card may have been missing an interim lightweight championship bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, but UFC 209 last night (Sat., Mar. 4, 2017) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, produced memorable action in a variety of spots. Even though the headlining rematch between current welterweight king Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson flopped in comparison to their first meeting at UFC 205, the rest of the card featured countless knockouts, submissions, come-from-behind victories and defining performances, including finishes by Alistair Overeem, Darren Elkins, Tyson Pedro, Iuri Alcantara and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) newcomer Cynthia Calvillo.
