Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be touching down in Long Island, New York on July 22 for UFC on FOX 25 from inside Nassau Coliseum. According to early reports by BJPenn.com’s Chris Taylor, a featherweight showdown between top title threats Chan Sung Jung, better known as Korean Zombie, and Ricardo Lamas is in the works to potentially headline the FOX card. This comes after Korean Zombie challenged Lamas on social media for a showdown in August (close enough).

UFC officials have yet to confirm the main event booking.
Korean Zombie, 30, just returned after a three-year absence to finish Dennis Bermudez via first-round knockout at UFC Fight Night 104 on Super Bowl weekend. Before that, the punishing featherweight lost his lone UFC title bid to champion Jose Aldo at UFC 163. A victory over Lamas will put Korean Zombie on the doorstep of another title shot.
Lamas, 34, is coming off a huge submission win over Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 98. “The Bully” has only lost to Chad Mendes, Max Holloway and Aldo since entering the promotion back in 2011 and simply looks better than ever. A victory for Lamas over Korean Zombie also puts him right back in the mix for a title shot in 2017.
Aldo, who defeated both Korean Zombie and Lamas during his previous title reign, will defend his current championship throne opposite interim king Holloway at UFC 212 on June 3.
