Video: Cris Cyborg dons hijab, shadowboxes in Abu Dhabi

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight smashing machine, Cristiane Justino, is preparing for her return to mixed martial arts (MMA) later this year, and since she doesn’t have a fight lined up at the moment, she’s keeping her appearances up.

Along with her hijab.

“Cyborg” — in Abu Dhabi for the BRAVE FC event — is no stranger to the traditional head covering, previously releasing a workout video for her “Pink Belt Fitness” program designed to help and empower women (see that footage here).

When and where the Brazilian makes her next appearance remains to be seen, but it depends largely on the health of reigning 145-pound titleholder Germaine de Randamie, who injured her hand battling Holly Holm at UFC 208 in Brooklyn.

Unfortunately for Justino, the featherweight division is bordering on anemic, with only a handful of fighters to populate the weight class. That makes matchmaking a daunting task, hence the need for this.
