Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Jeremy Stephens will make his return to the Octagon opposite Renato Moicana at UFC on FOX 24 on April 15 from inside Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, per an announcement by the promotion earlier this week.
Stephens, 30, is coming off a wild loss to Frankie Edgar back at UFC 205 in New York City. The hard-hitting featherweight has done his part to capture glory at 145 pounds, but Stephens is hoping to compile a significant win streak in 2017 to launch him back into title contention.
Moicana, 27, has only competed twice inside of the Octagon, but he currently holds an undefeated record at 10-0-1. The Brazilian prospect is on the rise in the featherweight division and could easily enter the top 10 with a upset victory over Stephens. Moicana, a former Jungle Fight featherweight champion, is coming off a split-decision win over Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 198.
UFC on FOX 24 is without a main event at this time, but will feature prominent Octagon fighters such as Rose Namajunas, Michelle Waterson, Tim Elliot, Bobby Green and Rashid Magomedov.
