Before Chris Weidman steps into the Octagon to face Gegard Mousasi at the upcoming UFC 210 event, which is slated to go down on April 8, 2017 in Buffalo, New York, take a trip back to see “All American’s” beatdown of Vitor Belfort.
The Middleweight title fight took place at UFC 187 in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 23, 2015.
The fight, though, didn’t live up to all of the hype and anticipation, as Chris beat down “The Phenom” halfway though the first round rather easily to retain his 185-pound title. The loss marks Vitor’s downfall, as he went on to lose three of his next four.
As for Chris, that was his last victory inside the Octagon, as he dropped his title to Luke Rockhold in his next bout, and was then knocked out by Yoel Romero at UFC 205.
“All American” will look to turn his luck around when he takes on “The Dreamcatcher” in a pivotal showdown in Buffalo.
