The gloves were in overkill mode earlier today (Sat., Mar. 25, 2017) at GLORY 39 live on ESPN3 from inside Vorst National arena in Brussels, Belgium, with the Superfight Series portion of the event taking form on UFC Fight Pass. With two GLORY title defenses on display, the action proved plentiful on European soil. Not to mention a GLORY Featherweight Contender Tournament finale that saw Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao knock off Serhiy Adamchuk in a close split decision.
In the main event of the evening, Cedric Doumbe put his GLORY welterweight title on the line for the very first time opposite Swiss knockout artist Yoann Kongolo. The two have met twice before, with Doumbe losing both bouts via unanimous decision. This time, Doumbe got the best of Kongolo, landing at will over the course of five rounds to earn the unanimous decision nod and walk away with his title in tact.
Maybe the two welterweights can put this recent scuffle at the weigh ins behind them:

In the Superfight Series headliner, 25-year-old Sittichai Sitsongpeenong defeated Dylan Salvador via fourth-round technical knockout to successfully defend his GLORY lightweight championship for the second-straight time. Sitsongpeenong blasted Salvador with a vicious knee to the body to become the first fighter to finish the 23-year-old title contender. The memorable stoppage can be seen below:

Unfortunately, one of the more anticipated bouts of the evening did not come to fruition, as heavyweight Chi Lewis-Parry was forced to withdraw from his fight opposite Hesdy Gerges due to illness. GLORY play-by-play announcer Todd Grisham had the inside scoop:
