Latest UFC rankings update: Jimi Manuwa holds steady at No. 4, two fighters get the boot

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently wrapped its UFC Fight Night 107: "Manuwa vs. Anderson" mixed martial arts (MMA) event on UFC Fight Pass (full results here), which took place last weekend (Sat., March 18, 2017) inside O2 Arena in London England.

Jimi Manuwa was the top performer of the night, crushing Corey Anderson in the light heavyweight main event (see it again here). Unfortunately for "Poster Boy," his highlight-reel finish wasn't enough to bump him out of the No. 4 spot at 205 pounds.

Here's how the rankings work, courtesy of UFC.com:

Rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.

Take a look at what the latest rankings field looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, *NR = Not previously ranked).

Note: Recent departures of Michael McDonald (bantamweight) and Ryan Bader (light heavyweight) account for the dramatic movement in their respective divisions.

You can expect these standings to change in roughly two weeks -- especially in the light heavyweight division -- when UFC 210: "Cormier vs. Johnson 2" takes place on pay-per-view (PPV) next month in Buffalo, New York (more on that fight card here).

Until then, let us know what you think of the latest rankings movement in the comments section below.
