Two of the Middleweight division’s fiercest punchers will lock horns TONIGHT (Sat., March 18, 2017) as Gennady Golovkin throws down with Daniel Jacobs inside Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. Both men are riding double-digit knockout streaks, making this one of the best possible boxing matches in the division. In preparation for the blockbuster pay-per-view (PPV) event, HBO Boxing wrangled up its best and brightest for an in-depth preview. Behold Jacobs’ triumph over bone cancer and follow Golovkin’s rise from obscurity to superstar. Also, check out the twitching heaps both of them left in their wakes. These are scary men.
The co-feature between Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai gets some love as well. Many see Gonzalez — who has become a staple of Golovkin’s fights — as the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, while Sor Rungvisai is one of the super Flyweight division’s heavier hitters.
